KARIMNAGAR: The Minister for Endowments, M. Satyanarayana Rao, has said that he will confine himself to Karimnagar Assembly segment during the ongoing Praja Patham programme. Participating in the programme in Karimnagar town on Saturday, the Minister said that he would not participate in the programme in other Assembly segments except Karimnagar and the neighbouring Warangal district of which he was the district in-charge Minister. He said that he had covered all the 55 villages in Karimnagar, Manakondur and Thimmapur mandals in his segment during the Praja Patham programme.
Poor civic amenities
The Minister visited the Indiranagar, Shivajinagar, Gandhi Chowk, Durgamam gadda and other localities of the town and interacted with people. The people complained about poor drainage system, streetlighting and drinking water problems in some areas. He was also flooded with petitions seeking ration cards and house sites in the town. The Municipal Commissioner, N. Satyanarayana Rao, the former councillors - Y. Sunil Rao, Ashok -- and others accompanied him.
