HYDERABAD: Confusion and chaos marked the release of SSC results on Saturday and the cameras were focussed more on the melee in the hall than on the School Education Minister, N. Rajyalakshmi, as she read out the details of the results. For some time, nothing could be heard in the hall as some mediamen raised slogans even as the officials went ahead with the formality of welcoming the Minister. The poor arrangements with all getting in to the hall also led to fisticuffs between some mediamen and "outsiders", which ultimately subsided with the police intervention. A visibly annoyed Minister was seen chiding the officials.
Frustration writ large
However, as the packets containing the CD of results were passed over to mediamen, things returned to normal. The hall was empty in no time. Frustration was evident on the faces of students and parents as the websites loaded with the SSC results refused to open even after two hours of release of results. Even the mobile companies failed to deliver their promise on time. The heavy rush at the Internet centres reflected the good business and also the failed promises of the officials. The sites simply refused to work and one could get lucky only after more than 100 clicks.
