Internet banking fraud

In an alleged Internet banking fraud, Rs. 75,000 was fraudulently transferred from the ICICI bank account of a person, P. Ravi, to four other accounts of the same bank. The ICICI bank Navaketan complex (SD Road) branch authorities approached the Mahankali police in this regard on Friday.

The money was said to have been transferred to the accounts of S. Ajay Reddy of Dilsukhnagar, Ajay S. Singh of Khairatabad and Jaspal R. Singh and T. Anil Kumar of Begumpet.

Man `kills'

Reportedly enraged over the raid on his fast food centre, a 20-year-old youngster allegedly killed his uncle by smashing the latter's head with an iron rod at Door basthi in Kulsumpura on Saturday. K. Sandeep had a dispute with his father's elder brother, K. Amba Das, 36, over a piece of land, the Kulsumpura Inspector D. Ch. Hussain said.

Realtor rescued

A realtor, Y. Mohan Reddy, who was allegedly kidnapped three days ago by his rivals in connection with a land dispute, was rescued by the Saroornagar police on Saturday with the arrest of six persons. On a tip-off, a special party led by the Inspector, M. Chandrashekhar, raided the hideout of the kidnappers in Eluru village near Vargal of Medak district. While the alleged mastermind behind the kidnap, Jahangir, and five others were arrested, four of their associates managed to escape.

A milkman, Azeem of Vidyanagar, who was allegedly fleeing after molesting a six-year-old girl, was caught by locals at Baghlingampally on Friday. Azeem entered an apartment building and took the girl to a corner on the first floor. When the girl started screaming, he jumped down, building fracturing his leg. Locals caught him and handed him over to the Chikkadpally police.
