EdCET schedule for minority colleges

HYDERABAD: Minority Colleges of Education have to complete the admission of candidates by May 5 in accordance with the interim order of the High Court, according to the EdCET-2004 convenor, E.R. Appa Rao.

The following is the schedule for the unfilled seats of minority quota (85 per cent seats):

The notification for the unfilled seats following rule of reservation should be issued on May 7 and they should be filled as per merit of the candidates qualified in EdCET-2004 irrespective of minority and non-minority status, the release said.

The approval of the merit list, first selection list and waiting list by the convenor would be displayed at the respective college besides the DEO's office and Collectorate and at the office of the Convener on May 25 and admission of candidates in the first selection list should be held on May 30. The admission of those from the waiting list if the seats are still vacant would be scheduled on May 31.

The candidates who feel that they were denied admission in spite of their merit could approach the convener with evidence for redressal, the release said.
