Two sub-inspectors, constable suspended
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
Two sub-inspectors and a constable of the Hyderabad police were suspended on Saturday for their alleged misconduct.
The Sultan Bazar traffic police station SI, S. Sai Srinivas, was accused of "settling a complaint relating to theft of a motorcycle" without registering a case while he was working as Detective SI in the Narayanaguda police station, a press release said.
In another case, Srinivas was charged with seizing a motorcycle abandoned at Amberpet linking it to a crime committed in his police station area. Since then, Srinivas had allegedly been using the vehicle for his personal work.
The Amberpet police later found that the vehicle was actually stolen from their jurisdiction.
Another SI, Mallikarjuna Chowdhary, and constable, M. Janardhan, both working in Sultan Bazar traffic police station, were suspended on the charge of attacking an advocate, S. Anjaneyulu, following an argument at Kothi a week ago.
