HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh High Court will only take up urgent cases during its summer vacation from May 2 to June 3. Vacation judges, Justices G. Raghuram, G.Yethirajulu, B. Seshasayana Reddy (from May 2 to 15), V. Eswaraiah, T. Ch.Surya Rao and K.C. Babu (from May 17 to 24), will hear the cases. According to a press release issued by the registrar-general, A. Suvarna, M.A.Nayeem Pasha, C.V.Ramakrishna, D.Lakshmi Narayana, Shaik Jan Basha and L. Subba Lakshmi, will be the vacation officers. Except appeals under Section 383 of CrPC from the appellants who are in jail, no application, other than of urgent nature, will be received during the vacation. No appeal or other proceedings will be received unless accompanied by an urgent application. Notice of any application of urgent nature will have to be given to the vacation officers before 1.30 p.m. preceding the court's working day. Cases to be presented on the reopening day after the vacation will be accepted in registry on June 3 for the convenience of the parties for the purpose of limitation though the court reopens on June 6.
