Sarpanch gives the slip to naxals

WARANGAL: Naxalites belonging to the CPUSI made a vain bid on the life of Parkal sarpanch and TRS leader, M. Bikshapathi, on Sunday. According to information reaching here, two naxalites, armed with short weapons, went to the residence of Mr. Bikshapathi and asked the watchman about his whereabouts.

Even as they were speaking to him, Mr. Bikshapathi came out and the naxalites forced their way into his house and said they wanted to talk to him.

However, Mr. Bikshapathi, who noticed that one of them was armed, managed to give the slip.
