Rallies mark May Day Rallies mark May Day

ADILABADNALGONDA: Trade unions belonging to the Left parties celebrated May Day here on Sunday by organising rallies and public meetings at important junctions in the town. The Communist Party of India (Marxist)-affiliated Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) organised a public meeting at the Ambedkar Chowk where the CPI (M) State executive committee member, S. Malla Reddy, was the chief guest.

In his address to the gathering, he criticised the NDA Government at the Centre and the Congress Government in the State for their anti-worker policies.

ADILABADNALGONDA: Working class celebrated the occasion in 59 mandals and 40 industrial centres across the district.

Red flags were hoisted and workers took out rallies to mark the historical day.

The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) observed the day as anti-imperialism day. The United Electricity Employees Union and the Agricultural Co-operative Societies Employees Union organised meetings at the district headquarters.
