He took to trap shooting when he was 13 years old and has been trained by his father, Rajagopal Tondaiman since then. Prithviraj who spoke to The Hindu over phone from New Delhi today said he felt very proud of representing the country in a world championship meet. Though this will be his first international event, Prithviraj says he would put in his best to bag a medal for the country. He is also being coached by R. Ravikrishnan of Chennai.

Prithviraj says he had received guidance from Olympic silver medallist Lt. Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore whom he considers as his role model. Along with Prithviraj, R.
