ERODE: The Erode Railway Police arrested a Railway Police Grade I Constable and another woman for their involvement in a ganja case. According to the police, on April 21, the Railway police recovered five gunny bags of ganja from the Jammudavi-Madurai Express train at Erode. It is stated that the Railway Police Constables, Palanisamy, Prabhu and Sarvanan, took the ganja bags and sold them to a ganja retailer. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Railways, Nagarajan, conducted an inquiry and seized the ganja bags from Chinnammal. The Railway police arrested Palanisamy and Chinnammal.
