No private matter

A feud among promoters in a family-run enterprise that is in fact also owned by over three million shareholders of Reliance Industries is no private matter. The Ambani spat, since last November, concerns India's corporate image abroad. It is too serious to be left to the two brothers themselves to sort out. It is high time the Securities and Exchange Board of India intervened and asked the duo to come clean before the shareholders.
