Fire destroys IJMA records

KOLKATA: Age-old documents of the jute industry, some dating back to 1855, were destroyed on Tuesday in a fire that raged through the 100-year-old office of the Indian Jute Manufacturers Association (IJMA).

The IJMA Vice-Chairman, R. K. Poddar told The Hindu that all historical records were ravaged by the fire, which ran through the IJMA office.
