BANGALORE: The general court martial proceedings against the Indian Air Force (IAF) officer, Anjali Gupta, were adjourned to Wednesday after she reported sick. Ms. Gupta has levelled allegations of sexual harassment against three officers. When the proceedings began on Tuesday, the jury, after giving the Prosecutor, Wing Commander, R.K. Dubey, two adjournments, enquired about Ms. Gupta's health. She had been taken to the IAF hospital earlier in the day after having bouts of nausea since Sunday. In his reply, Wing Commander Dubey alleged that Ms. Gupta was trying to delay the proceedings. "She has not been taking proper food since Monday even after the escorts who are now with her in the hospital, insisted on it," he said. The Judge Advocate, Sq. Ldr. Suhag, said that action would be taken if the medical reports revealed it. The jury asked the Prosecutor to produce Ms. Gupta's fitness certificate. He replied that it was with the escorts and he would produce it on Wednesday. He said the doctors had advised Ms. Gupta to rest for a day. "They will do some tests on Wednesday morning," he said. The four-member Court of Inquiry team, which is inquiring into her allegations, adjourned the hearing following Ms. Gupta's sickness.
