3 new members on IRDA panel

NEW DELHI:
The Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India (IRDA) has selected three new members for its Tariff Advisory Committee (TAC), whose main job is to set the rates of premium for a variety of general insurance products.
The three members, according to an IRDA statement here, are: GIC Chairman R.K. Joshi, National Insurance Chairman B. Chakraborti and Oriental Insurance chief M. Ramadoss.
The appointments come following the retirement of the heads of the three general insurance companies: P.C. Ghosh (GIC), H.S. Wadhwa (National) and S.L. Mohan (Oriental).
Heading the TAC is IRDA Chairman C.S. Rao, while the Vice-Chairman is the IRDA Member (Non-life), Mathew Varghese.
