CHENNAI: Twenty-seven from Tamil Nadu 15 from Chennai and 12 from Coimbatore have qualified for the AirTel One India Challenge car rally finals to be held in May 14. These contestants will compete with contestants from other states. As a part of the selection process, the participants had to fulfil certain criteria specified by FMSCI minimum of 21 years and driving experience of at least 3 years. The vehicles had to be a minimum of 980cc capacity, Euro II compliant and registered in the year 2000 or thereafter. The qualifying round involved a drive of 20-25 kms and a quiz about the landmark route.
