Anuradha wins title

VISAKHAPATNAM: V. Anuradha and Nivedita Ganguly of The Hindu finished winner and runner-up in the women's badminton event of the CMR-VJF inter-media sports meet here on Tuesday.

D. Ravikumar and Sumit Bhattacharjee of The Hindu were runner-up in men's badminton and table tennis respectively. D. Ravi of Deccan Chronicle, prevailed over Ravikumar of The Hindu in a tough men's final to complete a grand double.

Deccan Chronicle won the kabaddi title for the sixth-time in a row while Press Photographers pulled off a surprise by finishing runner-up. The Hindu was edged out by Andhra Bhoomi by one point (33-34) in the match for third place.

Andhra Bhoomi won the ball badminton event, beating last year's winner Deccan Chronicle in a repeat of last year's final. Sri Devi Vision finished third.

G. Janardhana Rao of AIR retained the table tennis singles title. The Press Photographers pair, Md. Nawaz and R. Ganesh retained the doubles crown with Sumit and P. Hanumantha Rao of The Hindu finishing runner-up.
