No pressure from NDA for House boycott: TDP
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
The Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party's boycott of Parliament was not due to pressure from the National Democratic Alliance, said the former MP and party's Polit Bureau member, Ummareddy Venkateswarlu.
At a press conference here on Tuesday, he made it clear that the boycott was only to register the party's protest to the `disregard' shown by the United Progressive Alliance Government to its demand for action against tainted Ministers.
When presspersons asked him about a telephone call from the BJP president, L.K. Advani, to the TDP chief, N. Chandrababu Naidu, he brushed it aside.
