4,000 appear for CET

MANGALORE: As many as 4,000 students appeared for the common entrance test (CET) in eight centres in Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday. Of the eight centres, seven are in the city. They are Canara Pre-University College, Besant Pre-University College, Ganapathi Pre-University College, Milagris Pre-University College, Hampankatta, St. Ann's Pre-University College (near Head Post Office), St. Agnes Pre-University College (near Bendoorwell) and Government Pre-University College for Women, Balmatta. The other centre is the St. Philomena Pre-University College, Puttur.

In Udupi

Udupi Staff Correspondent reports:

As many as 2,240 students appeared for the common entrance test (CET) in Udupi district on Tuesday. The six centres in Udupi for the test are the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Pre-University College (496 students), Poornaprajna Pre-University College (304 students), Manipal Pre-University College (496 students), Government Pre-University College (400 students), Sharada Pre-University College (304 students) and the Government Women's Pre-University College (240 students).
