NEW DELHI: Three persons who had allegedly burgled a godown at Prahlad Pur village on April 26 were nabbed after a brief encounter with the North West Delhi police from near the T-point on Pooth Badarpur Road on April 30. The police said on receipt of information that some suspicious persons were roaming near the area and were in possession of firearms, a raiding party was sent to the spot. The three suspects were spotted near Deep Vihar and were instructed to stop for checking at the instance of the informer. However, one of them whipped out a country-made pistol and opened fire at the police party. The three accused then tried to flee from the spot, but the police personnel caught them after a short chase. The police said the accused were identified as Sher Singh, Surender and Rinku.
