Indian Bank and IOB enter final

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Indian Overseas Bank and Indian Bank, both from Chennai, will clash for the men's title in the State-level basketball tournament by registering second successive wins in the semifinal league here on Wednesday.

The results:

Men (league): IOB 67 (Meher Pande 19, Sivasankar 15, Ravikumar 12) bt ICF, Chennai 47 (Ashwin 14, Boopalan 10, Rajan 13); Indian Bank 65 (Vigneshwaran 16, Bhuvaneswar 14, Dinesh 12) bt Chennai Telephones 55 (Leopard Charles 12, Janakiram Reddy 18, Karthik 12). IOB 74 (Sivasankar 21, Meher Pande 18) bt Chennai Telephones 58 (Karthik 25, Leonard Charles 10); Indian Bank 53 (Dinesh 11, Javeed Khan 10, Thangadurai 10) bt ICF 47 (Ashwin 10, Senthil Selvan 15).

Women: Southern Railway 48 (Shyamala 23) bt Ethiraj College, Chennai 23 (Roshin 10).
