Speaker lays stone for LI scheme

Rs. 12.8-cr. project to be completed in nine months

VANNEL (K) (NIZAMABAD DT.):
The long cherished dream of the people of Nandipet mandal is set to become reality with the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, K.R. Suresh Reddy, laying the foundation stone to a lift irrigation scheme here on Wednesday.
The project, to be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 12.80 crores, is expected to be completed in nine months.
It will irrigate 4,500 acres spread over Vannel (K), Sidhapur, Khudavanpur, Machherla, Tondakur and Sapur villages.
Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said the proposal for the project had been pending for the last 12 years and the credit for sanctioning it went to the present Government.
