Karunakaran's moves

This refers to the editorial, `Taking the plunge from the brink' (May 3). The National Congress (Indira) of K. Karunakaran cannot win an election on its own. It is to be seen whether the proposed tie-up with the Left will come through. As pointed out in the editorial, the role of a third player in Kerala politics cannot be ruled out.
