Drugs donated

THANJAVUR:
Direct Relief International, United States, has donated drugs worth Rs. 1 crore to the Shankara Arogya and Seva Trust of Mannargudi for providing relief to needy people, according to S. Ranganathan, chairman.
The drugs were given under an Indo-U.S. bilateral agreement through the Society for Services to Voluntary Agencies (SOSVA), Bandra West, Mumbai.
A meeting of the trust held at Mannargudi recently decided to utilise the drugs at free medical camps for the poor through the Tiruvarur unit of the Indian Medical Association at Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam districts.
