Bahadur award for Madhu

KOCHI:
The veteran cine artiste Madhu has been selected for the award instituted by the Bahadur Memorial Trust, Kodungallur.
Addressing presspersons at the Ernakulam Press Club on Thursday, the film director Kamal, who is the secretary of the Trust, said that Madhu was selected after taking into consideration his contribution to the film field. An alumnus of the Delhi School of Drama, he went on to win many awards and recognitions. The award will be presented at Municipal Town Hall, Kodungallur, on May 21, he said.
The award comprises Rs.50,000 and a citation. Those who won the awards earlier are the cine artistes Tilakan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Paravur Bharatan and Jose Prakash.
