NAGERCOIL: : A coolie committed suicide by cutting his throat with a knife on Tuesday night. According to the police, Vijayan (32) working as a coolie in Kerala, was asked by the police to appear before the Marthandam police in some criminal cases. But he committed suicide and the immediate reason could not be ascertained.
Woman ends life
In another incident, V.Radhika (34) of Kulasekaram, a mother of two, committed suicide by consuming poison on Monday. According to the police, Radhika took this extreme step as she was suffering from acute stomach pain. The police have registered two separate cases and are investigating.
