ETAWAH: The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today made it clear that his party would not give ticket to any criminals in the elections. Addressing a public meeting here, Mr Yadav said his party had always fought against the practice of giving tickets to mafia and criminals in the elections and would stick to its stand. ``Whether we stay in power or not, but no tickets would ever be given to the mafia by the party'', he maintained. Mr Yadav yet again alleged that the phones of his son and Kannauj MP Akhilesh Yadav, SP general secretary Amar Singh and his own were being tapped in an illegal manner. ``I have all the evidence to support my claim and would produce it whenever demanded by the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister. The UP chief minister also said that the party's support to the UPA government would continue despite the phone tapping issue, as the SP did not want the separatist forces to regain their hold in the country. He however cautioned the Congress not to take the SP support as `Majboori' (compulsion).
