Reshuffle in Delhi Government

NEW DELHI: : In a major reshuffle in the Delhi Government, four new Indian Administrative Service officers would be taking charge with immediate effect, an order issued by the Services Department said on Thursday.

The order said V.V. Bhat will take over as Principal Secretary (Finance and Planning).

He will relieve R. Narayanaswami, Principal Secretary (Home), and R.K. Verma, Commissioner (Sales Tax) of the extra charge.

With S.N. Sahai being transferred out, V. S. Madan has now been posted as Secretary-cum-Commissioner and Mr Sahai's post as the Chairman and Managing Director of Delhi Transport Corporation has gone to Anindo Majumdar.

Another posting is that of G. Narendra Kumar who is taking over as Secretary-cum-Director (Social Welfare) relieving Narendra Kumar, Labour Commissioner, of the additional charge and Director (Social Welfare), Jitendra Narain.

Mr Narain has now been posted as Member Secretary of DPCC and has relieved Sandeep Kumar, Additional Secretary of Power, of the additional charge.
