MADIKERI: A 26-year-old woman was shot dead allegedly by her father-in-law, M. Cariappa, at T. Shettigeri village in Virajpet taluk of Kodagu on Wednesday, according to information received here on Thursday. She was identified as K. Shobha, alias Kasturi. The reason for the murder is not known. Shobha had married Cariappa's son, Binnu. Cariappa is said to be absconding.
