MANGALORE: A final year medical student has filed a complaint with the Bunder police that some officials of a private bank forcibly took away the two-wheeler that was gifted by her. In her complaint filed on Thursday, Sharmila Roche alleged that she was "roughed up" by three "recovery officials" of the bank on K.S. Rao Road on April 27, stating the vehicle's equal monthly instalments towards the loan had not been serviced. She alleged that the officials took away her vehicle in a tempo. She said in her complaint that when she approached the "collection manager" at the bank, he allegedly abused her. On verification of documents, it was found that the loan on her vehicle had been The Mangalore North (Bunder) police Circle Inspector, Vinay Gaonkar, said that the medical student had complained to the police. According to him, the incident took place in the afternoon, and after the bank officials came to know that it was a wrong impoundment. the bank mmediately released the vehicle to her, Mr. Goankar added.
