YSR to lay stone for flyover

The Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, will lay the foundation stone for the `clover leaf' flyover at Chandrayanagutta on Saturday. Estimated to costing Rs. 9.9 crores, the flyover will commence at DRDL road and end at Tadban with arms at Barkas and Falaknuma.

Municipal workers' protest

Thousands of municipal workers under the aegis of the State Municipal Workers and Employees' Union laid siege to the office of the Director, Municipal Administration, on Thursday. At a meeting with the Municipal Director, Vijay Kumar, the leaders sought minimum wages, promotion to eligible sanitary workers and PF facility.
