Caution against fake driving licences

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The District Transport Commissioner (south zone) has cautioned against certain anti-social elements who are duplicating driving licences. In a statement here, he said only those who applied in person at the Computer-Aided Learners' Licensing System (CALLS) would be issued learners' licences.

Only licences obtained through the CALLS centre after ground test and road test are valid. Such licences are in the form of PVC cards and have a security code. Any licence received other than this are illegal, he added. — Special Correspondent

Water supply to be disrupted

Thiruvananthapuram: Water supply to Manacaud, Chala, Pazhavangady, Thampanoor, Kamaleswaram, Fort, Ambalathara, Bheemapally, Attukal, Kovalam, Kuriyathi, Valiyathura and Poonthura will be disrupted from 2 p.m. on Saturday to 12 noon on Sunday as the main pipeline has to be changed as part of the ongoing work on the flyover at Bakery Junction, said the Public Health Division executive engineer. — Staff Reporter

Mock INCAT examination

Holy rasa to be held

Thiruvananthapuram: A holy rasa will be held as part of the feast of St. George at the St. George Orthodox Syrian Church at 6.45 p.m. on Friday. It will begin from the church, pass through MG Road, Cantonment, Punnen Road, VJT Hall and reach the church. A holy tri-mass will also be held at 6.45 a.m. on Saturday. — Staff Reporter
