BANGALORE: Kumar Nethralaya, an eye care facility and specialised centre for diabetic eye care, was inaugurated here on Sunday. The eye care facility is equipped to provide specialised treatment to those who have diabetic retinopathy, a complication which may affect diabetes patients. K.S. Kumar, eye surgeon and vitreo-retinal specialist, said diabetic retinopathy was a silent ailment and most people are not even aware that they might be suffering from it. They come to know of the problem only in the advanced stages when treatment may be difficult. The eye care centre is located at 3rd Main, 2nd Block, Rajajinagar (Ph: 23424844.)
