Sharp fall in Dr. Reddy's profits
CHENNAI:
Dr. Reddy's Laboratories reported depressed results for the 12 months ended March 31, 2005 with revenues declining by 3 per cent to Rs. 1,947 crores. The net profit fell sharply to Rs. 21 crores from Rs. 247 crores in the previous year. Revenues for the fourth quarter were down 11 per cent to Rs. 430 crores from Rs. 480 crores. The company recorded a net loss of Rs. 51.90 crores for the quarter, against a net profit of Rs. 16 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
