Rupee weakens
MUMBAI:
The rupee on Friday weakened against the U.S. currency due to renewed dollar demand, adjusting to a technical downward correction following an overnight surge to three month high even as sentiment remained positive for a fresh turnaround on Monday. In fairly choppy two-way trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee ended at Rs. 43.4350/4450 a dollar, a 2-1/2 paise decline from yesterday's closing high of 43.41/42, but a sharp rally from intraday low of 43.46/47.
