HYDERABAD: The Bharatiya Janata Party president, N. Indrasena Reddy, his party had written to the Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, seeking clarification on the debate on irrigation projects. Speaking to reporters here on Friday, Mr. Reddy said the BJP had questioned the need to hold debates on irrigation projects. He raised the issue of Bhoopatipalem which was not included in the list of 26 such projects. Taken up in 2003, this project was on the verge of completion. It would be better if the Government confined its debate to the promised projects.
Waiting for reply
Asked if it would also follow the TDP in deciding against participating in the debate on Bhoopatipalem, Mr. Reddy said his party would await the Government's reply before taking a decision.
