AMRITSAR: The Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, said here on Friday that all inter-State issues concerning water, territory and political or non-political would be settled amicably after giving due consideration and serious thought. Talking to mediapersons after paying obeisance at the Golden Temple, the Durgiana Mandir and the Jalianwala Bagh, he reiterated that his regime would not work with any political vendetta against any individual or any party. The law would take its own course while deciding any case of corruption or malpractice in the State. He reiterated that his Government was committed to making Haryana free from corruption and any kind of fear by enforcing the rule of law. All sections of society would get justice and those found guilty or who had worked against the interests of the State would not be spared. Referring to the Sutlej-Yamuna Link Canal imbroglio, the ChiefMinister said that the Supreme Court had already decided this issue in favour of Haryana and a reference had been made by the apexcourt. About Chandigarh, he said that this issue would be taken up after the settlement of water dispute.About the possibility of formation of a separate Haryana Pradesh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, Mr. Hooda said that due regard would be given to the sentiments of Sikhs of Haryana and the issue would be decided after taking them into confidence. However, he made it clear that the State Government would not interfere in the religious affairs of the Sikhs.Mr.Hooda stated that this was his first visit to the holy city of Amritsar after becoming Chief Minister. He was accompanied by the Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, H.S. Chatha, the Excise and Taxation Minister, Venod Sharma and the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, M.L. Tayal.
