KARIMNAGAR: The Minister for Endowments, M. Satyanarayana Rao, has assured solution to all problems of the Housing Board colony in the Karimnagar town by providing basic amenities such as roads, drainages, lights and drinking water. As part of Praja Patham on Friday, the Minister visited Jyothinagar, Tower circle, Mangaliwada, Kapuwada and the Housing Board colony. Responding to the pleas of residents of the Housing Board colony, the Minister instructed the Municipal Commissioner, N. Satyanarayana, to take measures on a war footing to solve their problems. He asked the officials to chalk out an action plan for development of the colony which is located on the outskirts.
Clock tower
Responding to a request made by people, the Minister instructed the municipal authorities to fix an electronic clock on the tower, an ancient monument located at a busy commercial centre. He also assured the people of ration cards for all eligible persons. He also appealed to them to avail themselves of the individual lavatory scheme.
Surprise visit
The Minister made surprise visits to various localities and inspected the drainage system and roads. He instructed the municipal authorities to maintain clean roads and drainages on the main roads as well as interior roads and avoid outbreak of diseases. The Municipal Commissioner, N. Satyanarayana, the Urban Bank Chairman, D. Shankar, the MRO, Chandramohan, and others were present.
