BANGALORE: A South Korean national lost his bag containing a digital camera, a laptop, a mobile phone, and a credit card, among other things, at Kempe Gowda bus stand on Wednesday.
According to the Upparpet police, Lee Yan Kyong, a resident of Seoul and a journalist, had come to the bus stand to catch a bus to Panaji. When he was on the platform, someone threw some powder on him, which led to itching. While he was scratching himself some cash fell from his pocket and while he was picking it up a person took away one of his three bags kept on the platform.
Woman tricked
An elderly woman was relieved of her gold chain on Thursday evening by a visitor who had come to invite her to a wedding. According to the Jayanagar police, a woman came to the house of Kamakka (70) at Yediyur and gave a wedding invitation. Stating that she knew Kamakka's son she asked for the gold chain the old woman was wearing saying she wanted to buy a chain of the same design. As Kamakka parted with the chain, the woman asked for a glass of water. By the time Kamakka returned with water, the woman had disappeared.Another woman travelling in a bus from Yediyur to Konanakunte lost a box containing gold ornaments in Subramanyapura police station limits on Thursday.
The police said Rashmi Kanda Kumar, while travelling in the bus, felt some one pushing her. She got down at the Shavanti Kalyan Mantap bus stop and noticed the box containing gold rings and a gold chain missing from her bag.
