CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. Dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, Telangana, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters are: Virudhunagar 3, Kovilangulam 2 and Coonoor, Dharapuram (Erode dt.), Visakhapatnam Airport, Kochi Airport and CIAL Kochi 1 each. On Saturday, the maximum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, rose at a few places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Telangana, north interior Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, above normal at a few places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Telangana, rest coastal Karnataka, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, north coastal Tamil Nadu, below normal at one or two places over rest south interior Karnataka and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Nizamabad recorded the highest maximum temperature of 44 degree Celsius in the region.

FORECAST (VALID UNTIL TUESDAY MORNING): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over coastal and north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

FARMERS WEATHER BULLETIN FOR TAMIL NADU AND PONDICHERRY (VALID UNTIL TUESDAY MORNING): Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: No large change.
