Congress worker shot dead by naxalites

WARANGAL: Naxals belonging to the Communist Party of United States of India (CPUSI) shot dead a Congress party worker at Velthurlapalli village in Venkatapur mandal late on Saturday night.

According to information reaching here, three naxals came to the village on a two-wheeler around 9.30 pm and asked one K Gopal Rao to come out as they wanted to discuss something important. As the unsuspecting Gopal Rao came out, he was shot dead by the naxals.

The extremists did not leave any message or give any indication as to why they killed him.
