NEW DELHI: : Two alleged liquor suppliers were arrested in the Capital on Saturday by the North-West police and 12 bottles and 194 quarters of illicit liquor of Haryana excise were recovered from them. On May 7 constable Jogender Singh of Narela police station received a tip-off that a person would be coming from the Singhu border to supply illicit liquor in the jhuggi jhonpri colony of Bawana. Around 9-20 a.m., Jogender noticed a man carrying a plastic bag on his head and caught him. He was identified as Pawan. The accused told the police that he had brought the liquor from the Haryana to supply it in Bawana. On the same day, constable Kaptan Singh of Alipur Police Station received a tip-off that a Sikh would be coming on a scooter from the Singhu border to supply illicit liquor in Delhi.
