Tapping rural wealth

This refers to the report, `Lason takes BPO to the countryside' (May 7). Harnessing the resources of our countryside, which still forms the major part of our economy, should be an integral part of any policy.

Several private sector firms are now interested in setting up places of business in rural areas. This apart from providing jobs for the rural folk can help increase the nation's productivity as a whole.
