Thundershowers likely in T.N

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Kerala and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, Karnataka and Lakshadweep. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters are: Ganavaram 3, Paramakudi (Ramanathapuram dt.) and Illayangudi (Sivagangai dt.) 1 each. On Sunday, the maximum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, rose at one or two places over Rayalaseema, rest south interior Karnataka, fell appreciably at one or two places over interior Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over rest interior Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were markedly to appreciably above normal at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, above normal at a few places over south interior Karnataka, Kerala, at one or two places over rest coastal Karnataka, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, below normal at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Nizamabad and Nalgonda recorded the highest maximum temperature of 44 degree Celsius in the region.

FORECAST (valid until Wednesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Farmers Weather Bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (valid until Wednesday morning): Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
