BANGALORE: Favourite ONGC (Uttaranchal) blunted the firepower of Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), Chennai and captured the Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Trophy and the winner's purse of Rs. One lakh in the men's final of the All India volleyball tournament at the Hoody SC courts here. The highly fancied team won 25-23, 25-10, 19-25, 25-22.
The results: Men's final: ONGC bt Indian Overseas Bank (Chennai) 25-23, 25-10, 19-25, 25-22. Third place playoff: Indian Navy (Kochi) bt Southern Railway (Chennai) 25-21, 25-20, 18-25, 25-17. Women's final: Indian Seniors `B' bt Indian Senior `A' 25-23, 25-19, 29-27. Third place playoff: Karnataka Hoody Club bt KSEB 25-14, 23-25, 25-18, 25-19.
