Art critic dead

CHENNAI: N.R. Bhuvarahan (92), former senior sub-editor and art critic of The Hindu , died on Saturday in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. He is survived by his son, B. Raman, with whom he lived for the past 18 years. He was a reviewer of painting, dance and music.

Mr. Bhuvarahan belonged to the family of Thillai Sthanam Parampara and was a fan of Ariyakudi. His house at R.A. Puram here is a research and training centre for music christened "Brhaddhwani".
