NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Monday ordered removal of the seal on former cricketer Kapil Dev's property in a posh South Delhi area after he filed an affidavit undertaking to use it only for residential purposes. Justice Pradeep Nandrajog also asked Mr. Kapil Dev to lead a movement against illegal constructions in the Greater Kailash area, and he readily agreed. "I will definitely do whatever is permitted by the law." On an affidavit filed by R.B.S. Bansal, Executive Engineer (Building), South Zone, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, that Mr. Kapil Dev's wife, Romi Dev, proprietress of `This N That' (Readymade Garments), occupied the rear side of the property without getting the completion/occupancy certificate, the court ordered sealing of the premises on April 28.
