HYDERABAD: Though the three former Maoist emissaries had denied that there was any rift among themselves, a fresh letter written by poet Varavara Rao to Ramakrishna, CPI(Maoist) State Committee secretary, lists out several complaints against balladeer Gadar and poet Kalyan Rao. The hand-written letter by Mr. Rao accuses Mr. Kalyan Rao (referred to as `GK') of trying to collect funds to help his son make a movie and how GK was closely moving with a leading dentist. The dentist, whom Mr. Rao described as land grabber, was allegedly using his `contacts' for his nefarious activities. He narrates how the dentist had encroached the land belonging to a journalist in Madhapur and how the journalist found the dentist in a meeting with GK and a BJP legislator in the hospital. GK, Mr. Rao alleged, had also tried to borrow money from a leading cardiologist. He had also collected huge funds from an income-tax officer. Mr. Rao alleged that Gadar was showing more interest in Dalit politics and in the Telangana issue. He told Mr. Ramakrishna that he was more interested in returning to writing poetry in view of his ill-health.
