Draft poll rolls to be released on May 10

MADURAI: The draft electoral rolls of Melur, Sholavandan, Usilampatti, Sedapatti and Tirumangalam Assembly segments in the district will be published in all the polling stations and panchayat offices for public view on May 10.

Special gram sabha meetings will be organised on May 14 in all the panchayats where the voters can make additions/deletions/corrections in the voters' list by applying in the prescribed format before May 30.

Residents should use form 6 for inclusion of names, form 7 for objecting inclusion of names or to delete names. Form 8 should be used for correcting particulars entered in the rolls, such as age, sex, relationship, father/husband name.

Voters can also download forms and apply in the official website of the State Election Department "www.elections.tn.nic.in", according to a press release.
