BANGALORE: A 45-year-old man died after consuming arrack in Srirampuram police station limits on Monday morning. The police said Srinivasaraju, an employee of a garment factory, consumed liquor supplied at a licensed arrack shop. Sometime later, he was found dead on a street near the shop. He was suspected to be suffering from jaundice, the police said. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), Syed Ulfath Hussain, told The Hindu there are no reports of anyone else taking ill after consuming arrack.
