BANGALORE: A 15-year-old girl was raped, allegedly by Ramesh (23), an employee of a garment factory, in Rajagopalanagar police station limits on Sunday night. The police said that around 10.30 p.m., Ramesh dragged the girl to an isolated place in Saraiangadipalya and raped her. On a complaint by the girl's parents, the Rajagopalanagar police arrested the accused.
Bag snatched
Two men on a motorcycle snatched a handbag containing Rs. 500 and credit cards from a woman in Ramamurthynagar police station limits on Sunday night. The police said Kavitha, an employee of a private firm and resident of OMBR Layout, was walking to her house after alighting from an autorickshaw. The incident occurred on Kasturbanagar Main Road at 9.15 p.m. The Ramamurthynagar police have registered a case on a complaint by Kavitha.
